Background
Vulkan is a Croatian iron foundry. After the new board took over the company first thing they ordered a new corporate identity that coleague of mine executed very well. Next step was creating new web that followed that guidelines.
Storyboard
Basically the entire design is inspired by the typography applied in the logo. It is great font Diavlo by exljbris Font Foundry. It has a nice curvature with sharp and pointy ends. So when I've approached design I wanted to work with square forms to make it look sharp (nav and content) and yet elegant with round background shape and header photos.
